Gordon brings three decades of experience at the intersection of finance and technology, combining front-office trading, quantitative analysis, and hands-on programming. His institutional pedigree spans UBS, Deutsche Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Nomura, and BlueCrest Capital Management - environments where systems had to deliver under genuine commercial pressure and where regulatory rigour was non-negotiable. A degree in Banking, Finance, and International Trade Law from the University of Strathclyde underpins the operational discipline he carries into every engagement.
That career taught him something most AI consultants have not had the chance to learn: how to build technology that integrates honestly with legacy systems, messy data, and businesses that cannot afford downtime. The same discipline now shapes how he approaches AI - precision, scepticism toward unproven claims, and a preference for systems that work over systems that look impressive.
He now brings that combination to his AI consultancy practice, helping clients move past the hype and build capabilities grounded in their actual systems and constraints - from team education and workflow automation through to full technical builds. He works fluently across modern AI tooling, but the real value lies in identifying which problems are worth solving with AI.
